Any additional authorized drivers must appear at time of rental and meet age and driver’s license requirements. Authorized drivers will need to appear on the same valid insurance policy of the primary renter. An additional charge of $15 per day for each additional authorized driver will be added to the cost of the rental.
MVP Auto Rentals require the name of your insurance company and policy number and will have one of our agents verify coverage. If you do not have valid proof of insurance, you may qualify for add-on rental coverage insurance at an additional cost.
All vehicles can be rented for a minimum of two days.
MVP Auto Rentals will do everything possible to meet your reservation time and date. Please note that due to circumstances beyond our control we may need to delay or reschedule your appointment. Potential reasons may be due to other renters being late, inclement weather, service issues with the vehicle, schedule conflicts, etc.
Deposits can start at $150 depending on the class of vehicle and insurance coverage. Deposits will be used to cover any excess mileage, damage to vehicle, gas, tolls, smoking, tickets, loss of use or any other costs incurred from the rental as agreed in the rental agreement.
Pets are allowed in rental vehicles for an additional fee of $99. Renters will need to keep pets in crates and return the car in a clean condition and free of pet hair to avoid additional cleaning/detailing fees. Service animals used by renters with disabilities are allowed in the vehicle without a carrier and are subject to a $99 pet fee.
International drivers are allowed to rent from MVP Auto Rentals. International drivers must provide us with a valid passport and valid driver’s license from their country. International drivers will be subject to a $99 fee.
Yes – deposit may be determined based on your motor vehicle driving record. MVP Auto Rentals has the right to refuse rentals to those with major moving violations, DUI convictions and any other major infractions.
The renter is fully responsible for any tickets incurred while the vehicle is rented. Parking, traffic, speeding, toll bridges, or any other violations issued while the vehicle is being rented is the responsibility of the renter. The renter must pay any fees, penalties, towing charges, impound costs and all other monies that are associated with the car during their possession.
Every vehicle is equipped with nationwide toll pass (pay by plate) that will allow worry-free travel through toll booths. All tolls will be billed accordingly, you may receive multiple invoices and at times invoices may be delayed. Usage of toll passes will be billed at $6.95/day for each day the toll pass is used plus the cost of each toll or violation. Renter has the option to utilize their own EZ Pass to avoid toll charges.
MVP Auto Rentals will provide you with the amount of miles allowance for the specific vehicle you rent and the renter is responsible for additional costs per mile if you drive over the stated mile allotment.
MVP Auto Rentals will provide you with a full tank of gas in most cases. All vehicles must be returned with at least the same amount of gas provided during pick up. If the vehicle is returned with less gas, then provided at pick up, the renter will be responsible for the cost to refuel the vehicle plus a fuel surcharge of $20.
There is generally a 29-minute grace period for daily rentals. A vehicle returned 30 minutes late will be charged a fee equivalent to a half day rental. If the late return is 2 hours or more, you will be charged for an additional day of rental. If your late return interrupts a current booking, you may be charged additional fees.
A vehicle that is returned after hours will not be checked in until the next business day. If returning after hours when we are closed, the renter is responsible for the vehicle until we properly check in the rental vehicle.
MVP Auto Rentals does not allow a hitch to be attached or towing of any kind with any rental vehicle.
Ensure everyone in the vehicle is safe and then contact the police by dialing 911. Be sure to have local/state police complete an incident report when the car has been involved in an accident or damaged. Contact your personal auto insurance company and establish a claim for damage. If you are renting with a major credit card, you may want to contact their customer service department to determine if coverage is afforded through their collision program. Contact us and inform us of the incident.
The renter is responsible for any and all loss of or damage to the car resulting from any cause including but not limited to collision, rollover, theft, tire damage and vandalism, medical condition, flood, fire, hail or other acts of Nature.
Additionally, if we have the other party’s contact information, we will pursue them and/or their insurance company for our damages if determined they were at fault. However, our pursuit of the other party does not absolve you from your contractual obligation with MVP Auto Rentals.
Other charges that could be incurred by the renter include but are not limited to loss of use, towing charges, impound charges, storage charges, administrative fees and any other charges associated with settling an accident or damage claim.
When a vehicle is involved in an accident you can typically expect to hear from us within a 30–60-day timeframe from the date of the incident. The timeframe depends on the type and amount of damage caused to the vehicle because of the incident. For us to provide you with the best service possible we must first have the damaged vehicle repaired or complete the Salvage transaction prior to providing you with accurate costs associated with our vehicle damage.
Yes, all of our vehicles have a mileage allowance of 250 miles per day unless stated differently in your contract. If you exceed the number of predesignated miles, a mileage charge will apply for the additional miles driven. The cost for mileage overages will be billed at 0.45 cents a mile unless stated differently in your contract.
When you arrive to pick up your vehicle, we collect the full cost of the rental and a security deposit. The amount of the deposit will vary, based on the cost of the rental. When you return the vehicle, we will refund your security deposit in full within 48 hours, unless there are additional unplanned charges – such as fuel replacement, vehicle damage or a late return.
The time it takes to receive your refund varies based on the type of payment and your bank. Typically, you should see a refund in approximately 5 to 10 business days.
If you pay by credit card, the full cost of the rental and the security deposit will be authorized on your card when you pick up your vehicle. When you return the vehicle, we immediately release the authorization and only charge your card the full amount of the rental.
If you pay by debit card, the full cost of the rental and security deposit will be charged to your checking account when you pick up your vehicle. Once the vehicle is returned, we will refund your checking account the amount of the deposit.
If your rental car breaks down due to a mechanical failure and it is not drivable, be sure to get to a safe place out of traffic. Then, call Roadside Assistance at (855) 866-3161 and they will help you with the towing process. Charges may apply depending on the nature of the call and distance of the tow needed.
